This weekend, the French capital hosted a ceremony to inaugurate the restored Cathedral of Our Lady of Paris following a devastating fire in 2019. US President-elect Donald Trump, future British King Prince William and several other world leaders travelled to Paris for the occasion.

Notably, William and Trump met privately after the ceremony itself. The conversation, which lasted about 40 minutes, according to the BBC, took place within the walls of the British ambassador’s residence and focused on the topic of the ‘special relationship’ between the United States and the United Kingdom.

According to journalists, the meeting was held in a ‘warm, friendly atmosphere’ and after the meeting, Trump called Prince William a ‘good man.’ William, on the other hand, during the conversation ‘thanked’ the politician for his warm words after the passing of his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
