Prince William has unveiled the lineup of global stars who will join him at the Earthshot Prize awards ceremony in Rio de Janeiro this November. The event, scheduled for the 5th of November, will celebrate the winners of his prestigious environmental initiative and will be supported by a notable group of celebrities including Matthew McConaughey, pop icon Kylie Minogue, and singer Shawn Mendes.

McConaughey has taken an active role in the lead-up to the ceremony, narrating a special trailer that highlights the work of the 15 finalists. These innovators are competing for a £1 million prize to help scale their solutions for repairing the planet. “When the stakes are high, that’s when heroes appear,” McConaughey stated in his voiceover, underscoring the urgency of the mission.

Kylie Minogue also publicly announced her participation, expressing her excitement about returning to Brazil. “Brazil – I’m coming back. It is a huge honour and privilege to be part of the Earthshot Prize in Rio, on a stage with the people and ideas that can save our planet,” she wrote. The star-studded event will also feature a musical performance from legendary Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil, who will share the stage with Grammy-nominated artist Anitta. The evening will be hosted by Brazilian television presenter Luciano Huck and Brazilian football legend Cafu, uniting figures from entertainment, music, and sports for a common environmental cause.
