There were two reasons for the anticipation of this Yanina show, and both of them were important. The first was that the brand had the honour of closing Paris Fashion Week, and the second was that for the first time in the House’s history, the show was held within the official schedule – the new status was announced at the end of 2021. So an enviable social turnout was guaranteed, with Caroline Scheufele, Anton and Victoria Borisevich, Svetlana Zakharova, Meryem Uzerli and other friends of the brand all taking their places in the front row.
Clearly inspired by this joyous occasion, designer Yulia Yanina showed a vibrant collection in iridescent colours, including mini dresses with dramatic capes and flowing gowns in the finest chiffon. Of course, the brand’s key elements – feathers, embroidery and translucent fabrics revealing skin – were also present.
