The opportunity to choose an actor to play the role of herself is not for all celebrities whose life is made into a biographical film. But Kate Moss took control of the situation and chose the contender – in the biopic about the life of the supermodel she will be played by the star of the TV series “Willow” Ellie Bamber. The girl does have some very similar traits to Moss.
The film is titled “Moss and Freud”. The plot will tell about Kate’s relationship with the British artist Lucian Freud, grandson of “the father of psychoanalysis” Sigmund Freud. In the early 2000s, at the height of her career, a pregnant Kate agreed to pose for Lucian in his photography studio. The iconic portrait was sold for almost $5 million back in 2005.
The action is set around Freud’s studio in Holland Park and London during the turbulent days of Britain in the early 2000s. The story reveals Freud’s mysterious past and Moss’ life as an internationally acclaimed supermodel,” reads the official description according to Variety.
Note that in recent years, biographical films about world-famous artists and fashion icons have become a real trend. At the same time, following the release of Andrew Dominick’s Blondie about Marilyn Monroe, which was literally trashed by film critics and the public alike, Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg announced that she would legally ban the making of biopics about herself.
