Anne Hathaway has starred in an advertising campaign for Donatella Versace’s new collection. The line is called Versace Icons. The collection focuses on the legendary fashion icons. Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott authored the photos. In the photo, the actress appeared in a black mini-dress made of shiny material, as well as jeans, a black corset and a leather jacket. Donatella admitted that Anne is an incredible inspiration to her.
“I love her as an actress, but I admire her as a woman even more. She’s a big star, she’s a businesswoman, she’s creative and she’s incredibly kind. That makes her a real Versace icon!”
Hathaway revealed that Donatella explained to her the basic concept of the collection. This really inspired the actress. The designer wanted to create a line of ‘timeless’ pieces that would not depend on trends and could serve their wearer for years to come.
“When the beautiful, talented Donatella Versace asked me to be part of the campaign, she shared her vision of a collection with a timeless Versace feel. She said she wanted to focus on pieces that would become a favourite in someone’s wardrobe, that would be fun to wear regardless of trends, that would be worn again and again for a lifetime,” Hathaway wrote on social media.
