Rihanna’s brand Savage X Fenty is celebrating its first big date this year – 5 years since it was founded. To mark the occasion, the Barbadian singer, who is now expecting her second child, recently starred in a new advertising campaign for the brand. But as it turns out, that’s about it. As of June 26, Rihanna will cease to be CEO of the company – a post that will be replaced by former Anthropologie Group CEO Hillary Super.
“It’s been wonderful to see how our fashion vision at Savage X Fenty has impacted the industry on such an incredible scale over the past five years. This is just the beginning for us and we’re going to continue to expand in a way that will always keep us in touch with the consumer. I’m thankful for everything that’s been and I’m excited to welcome Hillary Super as our new CEO – she’s a strong leader and aims to take the business to an even higher level,” Riri said in a statement released by Vogue.
Rihanna is reportedly not leaving the brand, which she founded in 2018, for good. She will continue, but as executive chairman of the board of directors. Whether this will affect the singer’s involvement in further advertising campaigns for Savage X Fenty is not yet known.
