Since 2004, Giorgio Armani translates the essence of the Armani/Privé Haute Couture collections into carefully crafted fragrances, distilled from rare and luminous raw materials, each fragrance conveys the same balance of uncompromising perfection. In 2020 a new captivating fragrance CUIR ZERZURA was introduced as part part of Les Mille et Une Nuits collection, inspired by the opulence and sensuality of the Middle East. The myth of Zerzura, “the oasis of little birds” in Arabic, is a mesmerizing luxuriant paradise surrounded by a sea of sand and rock where the hot desert air is laden with the captivating sensuality of woods and spices. From this myth, perfumer Nelly Hachem Ruiz (IFF) created a sharp contrast between a fresh top and a warm sensual base where leather is magnified at every level.
The fragrance opens on the sparkling freshness of Mandarin supported by the vibrant brightness of Elemi and the refined Violet leaf accord. While the heart offers a sumptuous floral bouquet composed of a fresh petally Rose duo and precious Iris, the noble Cedar wood and the richness of Vanilla infusion bring depth, texturize the drydown with a veil of intense sensuality, and enhance the spellbinding nature of the composition.
CUIR ZERZURA follows on from the iconic and utterly distinctive Armani/Privé stamped blown-glass bottle. Topped by a golden cap, the opaque and mysterious onyx-colored glass bottle encapsulating the new Mille et Une Nuits fragrance is adorned with an elegantly engraved golden plaque. A pure, sensual and tactile design, like a stone baked under the desert sun.
